Sara and I flew out to California last thursday and drove to Vegas to meet friends for the weekend.
We stopped at "The Outpost," a small junk shop about 1/3 of the way to Vegas, out in the middle of nowhere. We could see snowcapped mountains in the distance, but it was 95 or so in the sun.
As Sara stood here in the "parking lot" (otherwise known as "sand"), hawks literally circled above us. The car was nearby, but they knew that without it, it would only be a matter of time.
